Position Overview:
The Manager – Investor Relations will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, development and coordination of investor relations activities.
The Manager – Investor Relations will conduct a thorough review of Company’s investor relations performance and develop a new investor relations strategy taking into account conclusions from the review.
The Manager – Investor Relations will produce and deliver effective financial communications to the investment community and to existing and potential investors, financial press, stock exchanges, credit rating agencies, regulatory authorities.
The position will provide a corporate marketing activity combining communication and finance expertise to provide existing and potential investors with an accurate portrayal of the Company’s performance and prospects. This will be a highly visible positon for an individual who demonstrates strategic and analytic thinking, confidence, creativity, effective communication skills and collaboration.
The Manager – Investor Relations will be the Company’s primary point of contact for members of the financial community, including institutional investors and security analysts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary spokesman for the Company by communicating the Company’s strategy, policies, Corporate decisions, ESG responsibility and the Company’s financial and operational performance and business outlook to current and potential investors;
· Manage the Company’s relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts by providing clear, accurate, consistent and confident communications;
· Responsible for creating and delivering all investor relations materials, including earnings releases, investor conferences and investor roadshows and participates in the development of presentation materials for AGM/AGM;
· Develop ideas for improving investor relations and increasing the effectiveness of communications with both institutional shareholders and sell-side analysts;
· Provide feedback and insight to senior and operations management on investor sentiment and industry conditions;
· Provide feedback to senior management as to the expected reaction from the investment community from proposed transactions, corporate planning/budgeting and operating results;
· Schedule, arrange and participate with senior management in industry and research analyst conferences, one on one meetings with investors and security analysts, conference calls with members of the financial community and roadshows to meet with targeted investors;
· Arrange and coordinate analyst and investors meetings at the Company offices and field operations to provide pertinent information to the financial community and to provide the financial community with the opportunity to meet the company management and operations team;
· Analyze reports prepared by the investment community concerning Company and comparable companies and provide competitive intelligence to senior management;
· Responsible for increasing the number of analysts covering PJSC MMK stock and improving the quality and accuracy of the analytical reports produced by these analysts;
· Initiate discussions with sell side analysts to understand their points of view and demonstrate the confidence to confirm or challenge those viewpoints as appropriate;
· Maintain a database of information provided at the request of investors, analysts of investment banks, investment funds, rating agencies;
· Initiate and respond to written, telephone and email inquiries from members of the financial community;
· Provide information to the Company’s Senior Management and Board of Directors on a regular basis on investor activity, stock performance, peer company comparisons and company stock surveillance (international steel companies and relevant Russian blue-chip companies). This peer analysis should provide a view on what the factors are that contribute to the discount or premium compared to company's most important peers.
· Corporate brand and website content audit and redrafting;
· Website designing and development.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
· The demonstrated ability to communicate business strategies and complex financial information clearly and accurately to a variety of audiences both orally and through written material;
· Ability to distill competitor results and industry conditions to determine the impact and positioning for company;
· Proven ability to create and analyze financial models to analyze company performance relative to analyst and investor models and to effectively position the Company among its competitors;
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.;
· Expertise with developing and maintaining an investor web page;
· Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively;
· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be self?motivated and a self?starter with excellent time management skills;
· High degree of independent judgment and ability to handle confidential information;
· Ability to work in a fast?paced environment with flexible work hours as needed to meet tight deadlines;
· Must be able to manage projects independently and be a self?starter;
· Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written;
· Must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to produce top level results;
· Travel independently and with C-suite management will be required.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting;
· 5+ years in Finance, Economics or Accounting and 3+ years of investor relations experience.
Additional Information:
IR-manager reports directly to the Director of Economics.
There is one specialist reporting to the Manager.
The main workplace in Moscow, but frequent business trip internationally and domestically Magnitogorsk are expected.
