NEW HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SHEREMETYEVO HOTEL (INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP MANAGED PROPERTY SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN THE END OF 2017) IS INVITING
the candidate for the position of FINANCIAL DIRECTOR to join our pre-opening team
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- All the pre-opening activities related to the financial area (budget preparation, implementing financial policies and procedures as per IHG standards, employee recruitment and hiring for the financial department)
- Manage the hotel financial department during the pre-opening stage and after the hotel opening (direct reports: 5-7 employees: accounting employees, purchasing employees and IT)

Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and recommend actions to maximise financial return
- Create the annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities for department heads
- Analyse ROI for capital projects prior to committing funds and upon completion determine if anticipated results were achieved.
- Maximise cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances
- Manage day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
- Educate, train and motivate finance and accounting teams to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensure staff has the information, market data, tools and equipment to successfully carry out job duties
- Ensure accounting practices, support the guest experience through payment options (example: credit card systems, room charges), inventory controls and financial dispute resolution
- Maintain acceptable accounting practices as required by company policy and procedures
- Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain records for internal and external audits; ensure compliance with government regulations; and contractual agreements
- Manage hotel contracts (example: vendor leases and/or service contracts)
Key qualifications required:
- Higher education (Economy, Financial management)
- Previous experience in the hotel Financial department minimum 4 years
- Previous experience in direct management role in the hotel Financial department minimum 1-2 years (eg.Assistant Financial Director)
- ONLY CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE HOTEL FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED
- Work experience in the international hotel company will be an advantage
- Knowledge of all the accounting ares sufficient to provide day-to-day control of the financial operations
- Knowledge of tax legislation, local and international reporting
- Working knowledge of English (business correspondence, spoken English), native Russian
- Proficient PC user (standard Office programs, 1C accounting program (or equivalent), knowledge of financial reporting programs)
- Excellent team management skills
- Result oriented and attentive to details
- Willingness and ability to travel to Sheremetyevo (hotel is located in Sheremetyevo Airport)
