We have an exciting opportunity to join as an IMS/NGN Engineer based in Moscow for one of our clients that is leading the way in the mobile industry by delivering cloud-based IP networks and next generation communication. The company incorporates Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technology to enable all service providers to quickly and securely launch services that subscribers demand most.
This role will be responsible for performing economic, competitive, and strategic analysis for setting the long-term direction and evolution of the network.
You will:
- Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification
- Contribute to engineering standards development
- Research new technology for potential deployments
- Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Function as technical resource for procurement activities and negotiations
- Provide maintenance and support for highly available hosted and telco-grade turnkey platforms
- Assist with customer implementations and configurations
- Assist mobile operators in solving problems involving multi-party issues in a consultative manner
- Participate in after-hours on call rotation
- Troubleshooting and managing configurations of IMS architecture
- Commute to the customer sites (international companies) if it was necessary
You need: - 5 Years experience including:
- 5+ years of telecommunications industry experience
- 2+ years’ work experience in 3G/4G Wireless (CDMA/LTE) technology
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering design environment
- 3+ of NGN deployment, planning and optimization experience
- To be familiar with SBC/IGWB/SOFTSWITCH products, have good experience on NGN & IMS products.
- To understand Next Generation Technologies such as VoLTE, IMS, P/I/S-CSCF, AS's, TAS, MGW, SGW, B/MGCF, MRFC, 3GPP standards, NGN
- Networking experience: TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, RTP, IP Telephony, VoIP, QoS, Diff Serv
- To understand IP Networking Protocols such as DHCP, ARP, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, HTTP, FTP
- Experience with Applications/Tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, Netmon
- Advanced knowledge of SIP based VoIP services
- Working knowledge of Scripting/Automation Knowledge Awk, Sed, Perl, Shell Scripting, PHP
- Experience with Operating Systems and Software such as SSH, VPN Client, Linux, Unix, MySQL
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Direct hardware and software design and implementation experience
- IMS based VoIP is strongly preferred; video telephony experience is a strong plus
- Experience troubleshooting VoIP protocols and platforms
- Familiarity with Monitoring solutions especially SNMP monitoring
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Wireless industry experience a major plus
- Average English Language Speaking skill
