Responsibilities:
Lead development of sustainable pricing strategy and executional pricing that supports profitable growth for both Beauty and F&H categories
- Define Pricing guidelines and discipline in VCP, budget and campaign discussions by leveraging existing analytics tools and creating (if needed) new processes, keeping in focus top- and bottom line
- Define pricing framework for execution by category annually and more often if required
- Lead process with support from Finance/Marketing to ensure Pricing to Market approach supports topline and bottomline targets setting via Relative Price Index (RPI) and robust inflation tracking /forecasting process leveraging best possible competitive
- Support finance in measuring P&L impact of pricing decisions for market/cluster
- Lead Category Teams through process of Strategic Pricing opportunities above inflation with Beauty category teams through Defining source of volume (SOV) and right to win (RTW) for key brands / workhorses and Identifying portfolio / brand opportunities
- Build strong alliance with Global Partners to ensure effective and consistent evaluation of opportunities and challenges, to support Senior Management decision making process
- Set up executional pricing governance for market/cluster to ensure all categories meet pricing requriements
Lead development of sustainable category flow and discounting/promotion planning addressing category portfolio strategies and store priorties – ensuring Discount optimization
- Define and manage promotion guidelines by category and set up governance to manage
- Define pack/sizing strategy to support promotions
- Manage governance of promotion execution based on promotional guidelines
- Through analytics plan 2 year promotional roadmap to maximise revenue/OP and keep consumer/rep engaged
- Support finance in measuring P&L impact of promotion decisions for market/cluster
- Lead flow rules for each category based on portfolio strategy (Innovation and In-Line), pricing strategy (price-promo balance) and store principles (platforms priorities).
- Lead process of campaign and category performance anaysis to define risks and opportunities and flow priorities
- Lead process of category flow planning on quaterly/campaign basis in close partnership with Category teams using most effective merchandising techniques to drive attractiveness of Avon price/product proposition and meet key KPIs
- Lead alignment process with Campaign, Analytics and ComOps teams to maximize effectiveness of planning campaigns and KPIs control
Support effective implementation of pricing/flow decisions via Revenue Growth Management (RGM) process. Control allocation of brochure levers to support Mix Management.
- Define value chain for RGM e.g. ensure net/gross price and ROI takes into account all components of product price including rep discount, COGS, Variable MOH, Dist costs to ensure full view of P&L
- Define a clear roadmap of Inflation and Strategic Pricing execution with Category teams to reach the desired strategy (pace, specific innovations, media support, claims etc.)
- Lead the process of flowbooks / pricing guardrails preparation, incl. Effective Pricing (Corridors, DoD, merchandising), mix management, Innovations pricing, etc. supporting margin implementation and tracking
- Coordinate category KPIs alignment and execution according to budget agreements to minimize risks and take advantage of competitive pricing opportunities.
- Active involvement in campaign sign-off, GMMB, pricing committee and global discussions to drive RGM decisions vs. margin realization governance, escalate in advance if course correction required
- Strong governance over the process on market/cluster level, incl. (i) Embed right governance tools (flowbooks, other RGM tools) in the campaign planning process; (ii) compliance with pricing corridors and flowbook; (iii) competitive analysis; (iv) work with category team to eliminate exceptions off policy
Drive cluster / market pricing/RGM capabilities and know-how
- Set governance for pricing execution and promotions which fall outside of guidelines within market/cluster
- Serve as local ambassador of the consistent global process and available pricing tools (in strong link with global pricing)
- Educate local team on impact of RGM and levers they can pull outside of pricing e.g. promo DoD, Mix, Price points, Margin management
- Continuously fix any knowledge / skill gaps resulting from people rotation (incl. onboarding of new associates)
Lead the team of pricing analysts and flow managers/specialists (*)
- Ensure focus on Pricing and Flow strategy implementation for Beauty and F&H with direct reports (incl. Management process set-up of day-to-day operation, Reporting systems and flow management, ongoing support in campaign planning implementation, etc.).
- Setting and alignement of annual targets and plans for direct reports, discussing quarterly, mid-year and annual results, giving a feedback to a direct reports;
- Work on development plans for direct reports and control of execution
Ensure cross-functional cooperation for holistic RGM approach
- RGM roadmap for cluster/market with quarterly waterfall of how RGM targets will impact top/bottom line
- Maintain strong link to Global Pricing (via dotted reporting line) with all pricing and flow related discussions
- Work with Demand Planning so that DP understands internal / external context and rationale of pricing decisions on top of history-based forecasting
- Engage finance team to incorporate financial perspective into pricing decisions & support governance process
- Day to day cooperation with Category and Campaign teams during flow management and campaign preparation process
Requirements: - Master’s degree preferably in a marketing or management / finance discipline
- 4-5 years business experience (marketing, business analysis, research) preferably cosmetics or FMCG
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret information into implications and recommendations
- Perfect organization and time management
- Very good communication skills, ability to work in a multinational and cross-functional team
- Ability to shortly and clearly present the outcome
- Good presentation skills (oral and written)
- Good knowledge of cosmetic market
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
