Our client AVK International A/S – a Scandinavian based international company and part of the Danish international AVK Group – is looking for a market oriented, energetic and result focused ‘General Manager/Sales & Marketing Director’.
AVK International A/S is a world market leader in gate valves and hydrants.
Based in Moscow Oblast, the new General Manager/Sales & Marketing Director will have the following main responsibilities:
* Sales to big customers incl. project sales and sales cooperation with business partners
* Start up and operation of local production facility in Moscow Oblast
* General Management, i.e. development, planning, budgeting, implementation and monitoring all business processes, standards and business activities required for the efficient operation in line with AVK Group requirements
* Managing and supervising main departments incl. their development as AVK Russia’s business develops and grow
* Initiates and develop relations with external vendors (key distributors, market research, legal authorities, and advertising agencies)
* Management of day-to-day operation activities of AVK Russia incl. travelling when necessary to finalise larger orders
* Management of full profit & loss responsibility including people and network
The ideal candidate should possess the following key qualifications:
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with an international company as a General Manager and/or Sales & Marketing Director within B-to-B technical direct sales and a proven successful track record
* Experience with large project sales to public and private customers at high level and with a proven successful track record
* Experience in building/ developing long term relationships with distributors, design institutes, contractors and public entities (end-users)
* Experience from an international company with sales, marketing, distribution, supply and manufacturing in Russia would be an advantage
* Co-operation with Russian authorities and organisations
* Higher Education as Engineer (mechanical or hydraulic), supplemented with MBA and/or education within sales & marketing, business economics, etc.
* Russian (native), English at negotiation level oral and in writing
* Good management, communication and interpersonal skills
