The Workday Functional Expert as part of the Workday implementation project is a key role in delivering the processes design and tools to drive “user experience”, quality & meaningful HR data and overall efficiency. The incumbent provides process expertise, data and functional system understanding and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver quality results for our “end users” to ultimately receive a “One Mars” consistent experience through Workday implementation. A primary goal of this role is to partner the Workday HCM implementation representing the regional “users”, including the delivery of functional expertise of our regional and global HR processes to ensure processes are consistently and effectively brought to life enabling an engaging “user experience” through the implementation.
Key responsibilities:
- Regional Leadership for Core HCM related processes during the Workday implementation project and 1C infrastructure redesign e.g. Position/Job Management, Document File Management, Mass data changes etc. The incumbent has critical understanding and knowledge of how HR Core elements and data impact business processes in order to influence the right design decisions e.g. Legal Entity structure, its connection to Finance, and how data flows between the systems.
- Builds expertise in regional policy and processes, being able to balance differences across geographies and regulations. Utilises E2E lean and user – centric process design thinking to eliminate complexity and reduce need for manual handling to enable more processes for self-service.
- In Collaboration with Data Conversion and Reporting & Analytics streams drive increased data simplicity, quality and integrity across the Region.
- Partner the translation of regional process design into functional requirements / capabilities / user stories / user experience to deliver quality HCM solution. Through trusted partnership within the Workday Project Team, Process Managers and Regional SMEs ensure project deliverables are fully met through solid process and system design. To manage the change well, constantly evaluate impact of changes in process or system on users and P&O operations.
- Partner with and support DT, CHRIS and COEs in understanding Workday technology features and feasibilities to best navigate Core HR process design and standardisation needs. Utilise your regional process expertise and system knowledge to support the review of solution functionalities in order to give input on configuration decisions.
- Leading a region in Core HCM design while working closely with business areas and local representatives to identify requirements (including legal) and opportunities to increase user experience, standardisation and efficiencies. This will enable you to provide vital inputs on design activities to our SI Partner.
- A key role in preparation and execution of functional and integration testing of HCM solution implementation
- Accountable for the creation and deployment of relevant user training materials (including HR operations, LMs and other users) - ensure that an appropriate, timely and tailored training plan is in place prior to “go live” and develop materials for ongoing needs.
- Act as a Change Agent during the Workday Project
- Responsible for developing relevant test scripts and partner the system testing, maintenance of proper system documentation, training material review.
We expect:
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree program.
- Working knowledge of HR processes / systems /information.
- IT literate.
- Project Management / Services Management and Process Management classes or certification.
- Considerable Experience in HR and HR systems (1C, Workday), experience in 1C and Workday implementation and integration with other systems.
- Considerable Experience in programs development and implementation more than 2 years.
- Considerable Experience in programs support more than 2 years.
- Proven track record managing projects and getting things done effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to identify, design and implement business process improvements.
- Working with multi-cultural and remote peers and project teams collaboratively in an international environment.
- Excellent communication skills with good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Experience of advanced problem solving.
