In the role of Category Specialist you will be responsible for assigned category (Home and Garden), developing and attracting merchants and increasing GMV of the category.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for AliExpress - Tmall Home-Garden category, manage the assortments.
2. Responsible for strategic planning and business development of category
3. Analyze sales data and competitors’ activities, retrieve insights and execute business plans
4. Introduce new suppliers into our platform and maintain good relationship with them
5. Cooperate with partners based on commercial conditions and potential opportunities;
6. Develop an effective pricing system, sales control and discount prices;
7.Cooperate with other internal departments: marketing, IT, content, finance
Requirements:
1. Over 3 years e-commerce category manager/ purchasing manager experience at a well-known platform.
2. Experience with a large number of suppliers / commodity items, ability to expend suppliers is a plus;
3. Good understanding in Home-Garden industry market and great consumer insight
4. Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit
5. Fluent English
