About Contrivance Ventures
Contrivance Ventures is an industry-agnostic pre-seed investor, focusing on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). We provide early stage startups with partnership, advice, and funding. Our mission is supporting strong founders in building new businesses and invest in forward-looking ideas.
Currently, we are looking for an experienced Chief Business Development Officer / Co-Founder for one of our startups (Price Alert). We are interested only in candidates who will become a Co-Founder after a probation period.
About Price Alert and the role
Price Alert is an innovative technological solution (a SaaS platform) for competitors’ price monitoring and optimization of own prices. Currently, the company focuses on the Russian-speaking countries, but it will soon expand to Europe and the US. The clients of the company are large brands, sellers at marketplaces, and online shops.
In this role, you will use your background in business development and technology to increase the number of clients and assist with managing the company. You deliver business outcomes while working directly with the founder / CEO, project manager, developers, and sales managers.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the services to the B2B clients (brands, sellers at marketplaces, and online shops)
- Develop a business plan and Go-to-Market strategy
- Set and execute aggressive customer acquisition strategies
- Plan and execute calls with potential customers
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions to the clients
- Contribute to positive customer experience
- Assist in managing the business
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant sales and business development experience in the IT industry with B2B customer segment
- Bachelor / master’s degree required
- 2+ years of experience in direct field sales
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Desire to work in a startup environment
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and collaboration skills along with strong managing ability
- CEO / founder experience is a plus
- Russian language (native speaker) and English (at least B2)
