Job description.
Main purpose:
The Senior Pricing Analyst / Revenue Growth Manager is responsible for supporting the organization focusing on growth opportunities driven by pricing and promos, at Roust Russia. This position will serve as key resource in delivering pricing analytics across the alcohol beverage categories and brands - working with Trade Marketing, Marketing and Innovations, Strategy and Finance functions. Daily duties include leveraging multiple data sources and advanced analytics to monitor and deliver insights on price indexes issues and driving profitable growth strategies by assessing, recommending and activating pricing and promotion opportunities. The scope of the role is Russia across all categories (vodka, spirits, and wines). The position offers an opportunity to make immediate impact in a changing alcohol beverage category landscape.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead pricing analysis to drive insights and analytics into price and promo strategy, development and execution, including advanced modeling of price elasticity by brand and product, competitive positioning, and internal profitability status:
- develop analytical tools, reports and routines to establish culture of price and margin driven decision taking
- drive processes supporting pricing, trade, and promotions strategy
- develop alternatives and recommending pricing strategies in support of brand strategies
- develop specific pricing architecture by brand, channel, customer and pack size leveraging pricing/elasticity models
- identify and recommend price optimization opportunities across products, channels, and customers
- Drive effectiveness of trade promotional spend and activities through promo-pressure analysis and promo rules and quotas execution
- Conducting post event analysis to help optimize the most effective type of promotions and strategies in combination with pricing and other in-store activities
- Support design of pricing research and external audit
Key requirements:
- Have degree in Mathematics/Economics/Marketing
- Speak fluently both English and Russian
- 6-8 years of business experience, some preferably spent in FMCG market and pricing analysis
- Broad experience and understanding cross-market techniques (retail audit, consumer panels, retail and loyalty cards data, price audit)
- Very strong analytical thinking with proven skills to understand and assimilate multiple data types, spot inconsistencies or story-telling opportunities, and solve client problems with analytic solutions
- Adapts to different management, communication and delivery styles (as needed) for different situations
- Build effective cross-functional cooperation and communication with key stakeholders
- Methodical, hands-on and resourceful with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving
- Strong analytical skills: ability to translate research findings into solid business recommendations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
Manages multiple work streams with competing timelines and priorities in a fast paced environment
Experience:
- Internship or work experience in FMCG company (preferably analytical [including Shopper Insights / Category Management] or Trade Marketing position).
Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office – Excel & PowerPoint
- English (upper-intermediate)
- Analytical skills, communication & presentation skills, learning ability
- Leadership skills
