Position: Grower Manager (Cereals FG & SGR)
Division: Crop Science
Responsibilities:
- Align the CIS approach with global and regional strategies and guidance for cereals. Lead the strategy development for cereals within our Crop Protection portfolio based on our chosen MWB’s to ensure longer term strategic opportunities in key grower segments are captured;
- Manage portfolio of fungicides and SGR products for cereals on each stage of product life cycle, including registration proposal via NewPort, pre-launch, launch, phase out and repositioning. Manage pricing in line with product positioning VS competition, maintaining price balance in Bayer portfolio for cereals. Product feature evaluation in regard to regional conditions and requirements, trial program preparation and field trial result implementation for product positioning and promotion;
- Implement market analyses via MLS tool, identifying market gaps and opportunities for Bayer product portfolio. Implement Market segmentation, segment research and Competitor analysis from technical point of view;
- Identify and prioritize the development of new products and technology by encouraging the interface between international product management and the business teams to identify new products, new uses for existing products or new technology to profitably grow the business and prioritize these opportunities for maximum long term profitability and strategic positioning of the company;
- Create and develop new business models creating value for both Bayer and our customers using crop protection products, digitalization and different available tools;
- Provide leadership for the preparation of long-term marketing plans by establishing key marketing objectives in terms of sales revenue, integrated gross profit and market share and to initiate and monitor the performance of annual marketing plans for all key products incorporating strategies for product innovation, packaging, distribution differentiation and post patent defense;
- Coordinate and align marketing activities for cereals with regional marketing and Promotion group. Support Sales department in organization of field days, seminars and conferences; participate in those of particular importance for BCS in key selling regions. Product Technical support. Claim management for key regions and products;
- Contribute actively in the pre-S&OP community;
- Knows and complies with legal and regulatory legal acts which prescribe the production, economic and financial and economic activity of the company and define priorities for the economy development and the pharmaceutical industry and the Program of law-abiding behavior in the company Bayer. Prepares documentation with key opinion leaders and service providers with organization of scientific and information activities for healthcare professionals on the territory of responsibility.
Important for us:
- University Degree with track record in AG chemistry, agronomy or biology;
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing with an international agriculture sector;
- Up to date portfolio/product management experience and knowledge of marketing best practice;
- Demonstrated problem solving skills to understand and manage volatile, rapidly changing markets;
- Ability to develop and implement successful strategic business plans aligned to customer needs within the ag sector across dedicated country;
- Strong personal leadership and cross-cultural experience;
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills (both in English and Russian) and ability to present information to diverse audiences;
- Strategic Mindset: ability to turn vision into action, including simplifying complexity and diagnosing and solving process breakdowns;
- Cultivates Innovation: ability to develop fresh approaches and innovate as appropriate.
