Your Role:
- Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.
- Continuously explore new technologies that will elevate the user experience of customers in order to be at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment.
- Own the responsibility of scaling the backend.
- Be prepared and able to frequently ship updates
- Contribute to the product roadmap with ideas that move the current OKRs forward.
What you will be working on:
- Fluent in English
- 5+ years of experience in a Backend position
- Extensive experience with Ruby & Ruby on Rails
- Knowledge of Postgres, Elastic Search, Redis, Sidekiq
- Additionally, but not required, experience with: Kubernetes, GoLang, NodeJS, Python
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, as well as best practices for the full software development life cycle
- Also including good coding practices like code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and live operations
