At Nike, the EMEA Distribution Manager for the Marketplace Operations (MPO) team takes pride in serving the consumer in the connected marketplace – whether they shop at one of our retail partners, in a Nike store or online. We are relentlessly elevating our strategy and driving improvement in our supply chain to reach a more premium service level for our consumer.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As our Supply Chain Operations (MPO) Specialist for our Marketplace Units (MPU) you always start with the consumer in mind. You improve service, growth and profitability to meet the financial and operational targets of your MPU, while delivering on Nike’s strategy. You have a deep understanding of business operations and are accountable for consumer/athlete/customer satisfaction, operational reliability, and improving inventory efficiency. You utilize diagnostic and predictive analytics to make smart business decisions. You keep your business partners informed and engaged of risks and opportunities, and you actively partner with your MPU and other operational functions, to find optimal supply chain and commercial solutions. You engage in key projects evolving existing business capabilities using agile principles.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Execute efficient order management to plan and deliver seasonal order books for your customers. You will be responsible for order execution and will be working in close alignment with the account, distribution and carrier teams.
- Optimize on-time and in-full delivery, inventory (holds), coverage, cancellations, contract call-offs and other services. You will also support in setting shipping goals and track progress against the targets of your customer or Marketplace Unit (MPU)
- Work in partnership with your Customer/MPU team and develop excellent working relationships. You’ll deliver customer service excellence through speed of response and availability to questions, complaints and ad-hoc requests.
- Represent operations within the MPU cross-functional team to ensure a balanced marketplace, mutual profitable growth and effective mechanics of inventory management. You have regular interaction with internal and external partners within a matrix environment, sharing scenarios and solutions to risks/opportunities from a supply chain perspective
- Run product launches in close collaboration with your team mates and the other MPU functions
- Focus on performance; understanding supply chain performance metrics, performing data deep dives and analyses, driving concrete actions to improve performance.
- Drive speed-to-market improvements, reliability initiatives and focus on elevating the consumer experience
- Build strong relationships with the logistics functions in your country to secure cost effective and on-time deliveries to your customers.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH;
You will work in a cross-functional agile environment that spans across EMEA and services the MPU’s operational business needs. Within the MPU, you will partner closely with Sales, Merchandising, Planning and Finance. Outside of the MPU you will daily connect with your customers, carrier network and Nike’s logistical functions.
WHAT YOU BRING;
- At least 3 years' experience in supply chain operations, retail allocation, or logistics management role within the retail or consumer goods industry
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive a best-in-class customer service
- Analytical skills which support a result driven approach delivering operational excellence
- Innovative mentality and proven track record in leading and delivering process improvement
- You will demonstrate knowledge of Financial acumen, Modeling & Analysis, Order management
- Strong service focus and a proactive mind-set
- You have experience in building trust with and influence business partners
- Digital literacy: MS office, advanced Excel, SAP, Cognos, and Tableau
