Our client- international production company is looking for Clinical Field Application Scientist
This role holds responsibility for providing expert application and scientific support for sales of clinical microbiology products in Russia and CIS countries. In cooperation with channel partners provide the following activities – demonstration, presentation, seminar, evaluation, training, trial and etc leading to a proposal and sale being closed. Build close relationships with distributors and end-users to manage the opportunity pipeline. An annual agreed quota of systems sales will be achieved. The Scientist will organize distributor trainings and provide partners and end customers with training and support distributor opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Agree an annual set of targets by region/system; to meet the targets by selling in partnership with channel partners.
- Provide a forecast of instrument requirements for the year and update the forecast at the end of every sales period.
- Give expert support to all qualified sales situations, to include, product demonstrations either in the customers’ lab or in demo lab, management of any trials/evaluations, and presentations at seminars/symposia.
- Organise and conduct distributor / end user training, and provide after-sale technical support until the customer has reached a position of competence.
- Construct deals with the field-based team on cash purchase, lease or reagent rental basis, ensuring the company pricing and margin policy is maintained.
- Produce a monthly report of key account activities including, factors affecting sales and competitor activities.
- Use SalesForce as the primary reporting tool; all activities and opportunities must be recorded.
- Maintain confidentiality of company/customer/product information at all times, implement all company policies.
- Work with other company divisions to maximize cross selling opportunities.
- This is a field-based, full-time permanent role and will involve intensive travel (up to 50%) within Russia and CIS countries.
- Ability to work with clinical customers to make deals meeting their technical and budget requirements, and close opportunities.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Successful track record in instrument system/reagent package selling over at least a three year period
- Graduated from or equivalent Medical or Life Science field
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Sound financial skills to help customers develop business plans
- Relevant clinical microbiology laboratory experience is highly preferable
- Microbiology knowledge and experience in Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST), Microorganisms Identification (ID) and Blood Culture (BC) will be a big advantage
- Ability to work with customers to make deals meeting their technical and budget requirements, and close opportunities
- Fluent English language skills - oral and written
