Novotel Adagio Ibis Moscow Kievskaya is looking for an experienced and reliable FINANCIAL CONTROLLER to supervise all members of the Finance team, to provide functional guidance to Executive Committee and Department Heads, to interact with legal counsel, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, commercial and government banks to effectively control the assets of the business and to provide business support.
Our Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- assisting and providing financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Strategic Plan, Budget and KPO’s;
- ensuring that up-to-date cash flow projection is maintained and maximizing cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances;
- ensuring excess cash is managed to maximize earning potential;
- preparing outlooks for forthcoming months and forecasts for the remainder of the year;
- preparing monthly position of actual results against budget, analyzing results and recommending to Executive Committee measures required to meet budget;
- distributing and explaining outlook and forecast information as an up-to-date management tool for operating departments;
- implementing and reviewing financial controls and policies, analyzing financial and management reports;
- employing adequate internal control procedures to ensure correct authorization for payment procedures;
- managing internal and external audits when they occur;
- providing administrative support to management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance;
- following up on all capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval;
- recommending and maintaining appropriate list of delegation of authority for hotel management;
- conducting monthly inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with required procedures;
- implementing and maintaining acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by AccorHotels, generally accepted accounting practices, and as affected by local conditions;
- ensuring all accounts are reconciled on monthly basis, reviewing and approving those reconciliation’s.
Our Financial Controller obtains the following qualifications:
- has higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting, Finance and 4-5 years in hotel accounting or audit with at least three years in an Financial Controller or similar supervisory role in the international hotel chain in a unit hotel of 300 rooms minimum, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience;
- has knowledge of accounting management duties such as negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns, etc. as needed or requested;
- preferably has professional accounting or finance designation or certification;
- analytic-minded and has strong leadership and problem-solving skills;
- is energetic, initiative and reliable, focused on the details;
- is able to work under pressure in multitasking environment and meet the deadlines with a minimum supervision;
- is fully proficient in English.
