MSD’s Human Health (HH) Division abides by a “patient first, profits later” ideology. Results-driven and ambitious, this team of individuals represents a functional balance between meeting company objectives and the needs of people around the world. The division is comprised of sales and marketing professionals who are passionate about their role in bringing MSD's prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to our customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Primary (80%) and secondary (20%) market research, with key focus on understanding customer needs, satisfaction, current demands and gaps, with strong understanding of digital ecosystem and data sources in online environment
- Collection of business need and key strategic questions from marketing team, understanding current research needs and possible data sources
- Support execution of market research by external providers
- Market research annual planning, incl. budget and management
- Preparation of reports based on insights and research data
- Organization and management of primary ad- hoc research projects :
- Briefing & agency selection (interview guide, questions, panel, set-up, scoring, etc.)
- Control and responsibility of execution (quality and deadlines)
- Challenging agencies on reality-check of the results of the reseach
- Executive summary of key insights and recommendations
- Results communication and consultancy on actions required / recommended to marketing team
- Active participation in development of action plan based on research results;
- Communication with global research team on set-up, global studies, methodologies, etc.
- Development of marketing strategy together with marketing team
- Overall supplier management and review of external agencies
Qualifications:
- Higher education (economics, math, statistics)
- Over 5 years experience in market research and/or analysis (market research agency /pharma/FMCG)
- Experience in qualitative reserach is the must
- Knowledge of data sources, providers, methods to get data that is not available “off-the-shelf”
- Ability to translate and communicate results of research to internal stakeholders
- Knowledge of key principles and methodology of research
- Planning & budget management
- Understanding business need and ability to translate the research into “so-what”
- Experience of work with databases (prindex, IQVIA audit, tender statistics, Rx diaries, etc.)
- English language knowledge (upper-intermediate)
