General Description:
Compensation and Benefits (C&B) Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining the best practices in overseeing employees’ compensation and benefits, compensation databases, maintaining the staffing table, benchmarking of compensation, tracking annual performance reviews. Coordinates the preparation of the compensation and benefits budget, including the regular monitoring, reporting and assists with the staffing budget. Works closely with Business Office specialists on budgeting. A Compensation and Benefits Specialist must ensure that the value associated with compensation and benefits are in line with the AAS’s objectives, culture, and philosophy. Maintains the highest levels of confidentiality and establishes professional relationships with staff, substitutes, applicants, and other AAS Community members. Communicates effectively with proficiency in English. Embraces the AAS Mission, Vision, and Core Values. S/he promotes the School and the services provided by the HR department in all words, actions, and behaviors.
Qualifications and Requirements:

University degree in human resources, business administration or finance
-
4+ years’ experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management for a company or organization operating in Russia
-
At least two years’ (in Moscow, Russia) work experience in the field of migration services, in particular visa invitations, work and private visas, work permits, migration registration, temporary and permanent residence permits, notifications of the conclusion/termination of employment contract, visa extension
-
Demonstrated proficiency with common technology applications (Microsoft Suite, GSuite, Outlook, 1C, etc.) and ability to learn new technology and applications

Legally residing and able to work in Moscow, Russia.

Speak, read and write in English fluently, according to the CREF standards, C1 or a C2 level, as determined by the external AAS testing provider
-
Must be eligible to receive a security clearance certification (provided by AAS)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Core Duties:

Coordinates the preparation of the compensation and benefits budget, including the regular monitoring, reporting, and adjusting of the budget

Updates and maintains staffing schedule according to the current AAS needs, recent structural changes, hiring of new staff, transfers, promotions, and terminations

Assesses needs of employees by conducting AAS surveys to indicate factors of employees’ motivation and engagement
-
Participates in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
-
Informs and communicates information accordingly (in collaboration with the Recruitment, Learning & Development Specialist) regarding remuneration and payment incentives in Handbooks and ensures that C&B information is up to date and accurate.

Designs and develops compensation programs and policies in collaboration with the HR Director and Leadership
-
Ensures compliance of the compensation and benefits programs and policies with current Russian legislation
-
Participates in an annual salary and benefit reviews for staff, following the established AAS practices and procedures
-
Collaborates with the Business Office in the monitoring, administration, and billing matters related to employee benefits. Acts as liaison between all departments, coordinates enrollments, terminations, and types of benefit plans required.

In collaboration with the Director, Director of Finance, HR Director, Compliance Director assists in the design and development of various benefits packages per employee category.

Prepares a variety of analytical reports related to compensation and benefits in an accurate and timely manner.

Elaborates annual compensation and benefits reviews and recommendations based on research and analysis for the Leadership Team
-
Communicates and regularly interacts with AAS departments, providers, stakeholders and other external organizations (if/when needed).

Provides up-to-date information to the Business Office (budgeting, salaries and benefits calculations and adjustments,transfers)
-
Records and information management: keeps a variety of confidential and complex records/files/archives to provide up-to-date reports, complying with all AAS requirements. Maintains all records/files/archives - both electronic and hard copy - current, organized and accurate

Utilizes AAS–specific software systems (training provided) in a reliable and efficient manner
-
Exercises discretion and judgment on HR and C&B matters which are confidential
-
Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers and community members
