This role primarily responsible for the management and leadership of the Regional Sourcing and Country Governance teams based in the Budapest CSC and in Country.
The team is organized into Clusters of countries and this role will manage the RUK Cluster, with Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The role is responsible for the management and delivery of Country Sourcing and Country Governance activities, sourcing projects, driving all savings, contracting and metrics and performance.
The role is responsible for leading a diverse team, ensuring the development of the staff members and creating a positive teamwork environment.
This role will serve as the single point of contact and senior escalation point for outstanding RMO items (Sourcing, RMO Operations and Supplier Risk) and will be involved in direct interaction with senior management.
Responsibilities:
SOURCING FUNCTION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The role is required to build collaboration and partnership between teams across the Sourcing and wider RMO organization. It is critical that there is close engagement with the Sector Category Sourcing Managers to align Sourcing strategies across Countries and ensure eRFX/Contract execution.
- Work in partnership with Regional Managers to leverage Global/Regional Suppliers to minimize the local country supply base.
- Drive bottom up sourcing project pipeline creation in country. Work with the Regional Sourcing team to understand regional and global projects/suppliers that can be leveraged in country.
- Build and maintain relationship and robust partnership with senior in country stakeholders at a country/cluster level. Support customer focused approach.
- Ensure a clear understanding and appreciation of Country Sourcing dynamics to both Global Sector Sourcing teams.
- Work in partnership with the Sourcing Services team to ensure compliance to policies and processes
- Drive the use of eRFx tools to ensure Sourcing Managers are equipped to maximize efficiencies and saves through training and analysis of sourcing events
- Manage and report on the performance of the Sourcing function utilizing key performance indicators
- Ensure all metrics and SLA’s are used to address upcoming risks.
- Support and drive Third Party Management gatekeeper role to ensure the appropriate Sourcing checks and balances are in place. The role is to enhance the protection of the Citi Franchise and drive data quality improvements.
- Partner with the Third Party Utility to support the wider Risk and Control Agenda
- Provide input into systems and process enhancements to the Global Process Owner. Contribute to brainstorming and workshops on process and system enhancements.
- Ensure that EMEA country operating dynamics are taken into consideration when considering process and system enhancements.
- Create and drive a strategic direction which focuses on standardization and efficiency. Areas of focus are supplier and contract rationalisation, local process standardisation, project prioritisation and reducing reliance on multiple language requirements and utilisation of the Sourcing Services.
- Implement a resourcing model to accommodate people gaps caused by career mobility and language restrictions.
COUNTRY GOVERNANCE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct cluster monthly management and performance reviews for all functions within the RMO responsibility and ensure all Risk and Control activities are performed on a timely matter and ensure this is done at country level as well.
- Liaison between Country and RMO Payables, TPU to Support implementation of consistent RMO processes and policies in the countries in line with local requirements.
- Ensure that Third Party Utility and Third Party Management awareness and guidance to the countries are provided
- Be single point of contact/accountability/RMO escalation for Country Sourcing, Operations (Accounts Payable and PO) and Supplier Risk.
- Build and maintain a relationship with senior in country stakeholders for all RMO services at a country level.
- Work with the business and other shared service units to ensure regional and global programmes, policies and corporate procedures are implemented in the country, whilst meeting local requirements.
- Act as sponsor for key projects and systems roll-out to ensure in-country success and adoption.
MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- People management responsibility for a team, including coaching and training, as well as performance management. Support individuals’ growth and development agenda. Ensure that people management related tasks are executed in the managed team in accordance with Citi policies and procedures, complying with statutory regulations and laws (e.g. recruitment, work orders, managing performance, etc.)
- Create and maintain an engaging work environment where all members of the team work to maximise their individual and team performance. Maintain low attrition rate throughout the year.
- Workforce management responsibility, ensure career planning, individual development and succession planning in collaboration with other RMO product managers.
- Own the design and delivery of the execution and completion of team goals, objectives, strategy.
- Business Performance Metrics: Analyse, Develop and manage a suite of internal performance management metrics.
- Monitor metrics and performance indicators. Identify trends, process gaps and bottlenecks, as well as standardization / reengineering opportunities. Take ownership to complete actions resulting from trends / process reviews in cooperation with global process owners.
- Resource and staff up for related activities; coordinate all staff management processes. Ensure that new hires training coordination is processed properly.
- Operate customer relationship framework including regular performance reporting and stakeholder management; maintain key stakeholder relationships on an on-going basis. Work to maximise Customer satisfaction and enhance user experience.
- Operate a strong control environment where all controls work effectively resulting in an effective MCA process as a minimum. Raise control issues and work on those issues to resolution. Assist in audit and compliance efforts for department and own the results and action plans.
- Work with RMO leadership and project managers to support all projects, ensure that risks are highlighted to management timely and appropriate action plans are developed to resolve risks.
- Establish and conduct management processes including staff meetings, team meetings, internal business reviews and operational reviews
- Cross-train on primary responsibilities of peers to serve as a back-up when needed (where applicable)
- Foster and nurture a culture of innovation and collaboration. Leverage Citi Lean framework to optimize how we work with external and internal customers. Deliver remarkable experiences through an end-to-end process view and overthrow functional boundaries and silos.
- Manage the EMEA Service Delivery through robust customer service capabilities and a strong customer relationship interaction model with key stakeholders including Finance, Procurement, and the Citi businesses.
- Customer Relationship Management & Service: Responsible for all aspects of each Citi business’s interaction with the team, systems and processes supported by the Budapest Service Center operations. These aspects of the role range from proactive involvement with business management in the planning for business re-organizations (e.g. announced acquisitions, divestitures, and changes in regulatory requirements) through to the development and maintenance of effective systems and processes to capture and resolve end user transactional inquiries.
- Champion VOE efforts in strategic sites and support VOE activities Knowledge and Experience
- Min. 10 years employment including 7 in multinational, corporate, supply chain, back office operations, shared service environment
- Prior management experience as a Supervisor and / or Team Lead
- Fluent written and spoken English - experience in operating in business English in a corporate role
- Advanced command of MS Suite
Qualifications:
- Basic College (BA) or (BS) preferred
- Professional Supply Chain qualification is desirable
