Duties:
- Observe, research, discuss and analyze product end-user requirements, prepare “user stories” as a result;
- Provide a short-term roadmap to a Project Manager and a development team, explain requirements, answer questions - ensure the team understands the requirements;
- Provide a long-term roadmap to Stakeholders, agree on priorities, adjust plans in case of unexpected situations or changes in requirements;
- Own the product and ensure successful implementation of most immediate deliverables;
- Inform stakeholders in a timely manner about the work done, indicating existing risks and opportunities;
- Keep product backlog in a good shape, to match Stakeholders’ expectations, priorities, deadlines, commitments;
- Handle designers’ and prototype team’s tasks to aid requirements preparation and make sure that the top of backlog is ready to be taken in development when time comes to start a new sprint;
- Prepare release notes, send them to end customers describing what is being released.
Requirements:
- Similar Product Owner experience - at least three years, willing to consider a Project Manager role if worked closely with PO, understands this role;
- Ability to understand customer needs, key metrics;
- Experience working in product companies with an international audience;
- Understanding of scrum processes, Agile methodology, assigned roles;
- Experience converting business requirements into accurate technical specifications for technical teams;
- Experience in task management (sprint planning, task allocation, change request monitoring);
- Experience with business process optimization may be a plus;
- Knowledge of software development life cycle;
- Successful experience in bringing products to market;
- Developed communication and organizational and management skills;
- Strong analytical skills, problem anticipation, ability to anticipate and prescribe solutions;
- Independence in decision making, responsibility for the result;
- Knowledge of Russian and English languages (at least Upper Intermediate level);
- Higher education in IT will be a plus (programming, mathematics, cybernetics);
- Development experience will be a plus, but if you already have PO experience without knowledge of coding, are willing to consider (if effective communication with developers, understanding and solving problems);
- Experience building diagrams and designing workflows;
- Experience with Jira and Confluence;
- Understanding of UX in relation to the product;
- Ability to work with remote teams distributed across the globe and with diverse cultures (experience in this area is an advantage).
