The EHS Manager II manages Site EHS Specialists, (manages Fixed facilities when applicable) to ensure environmental, health and safety requirements are met, including coordinating site inspections, interfacing with regulatory agencies, assessing risks and conducting relevant training. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Core
- Provide Region EHS Directors with in-depth analysis of metrics and recommended ways to improve safety policies and programs
- Ensure that all employees are informed of, comprehend, and comply with EHS policies and procedures as well as local regulations
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations to improve audit scores
- Establish good rapport with site supervisors and field EHS personnel on standard sites and offshore platforms
- Serve as the point of contact for all EHS training, incidents, and recommendations in responsibility
- Manage OSHA incident and injury reporting within specified guidelines, including the management of the Workers’ Compensation Program within the team
- Conduct timely and accurate follow up investigations and coordinate with the employee’s insurance company
- Manage and track safety equipment orders, delivery, storage, and distribution with warehouse personnel
- Ensure that all EHS training is up to date for all personnel, including customer and/or job specific required training
- Organize and coordinate safety equipment arrival, storage, and distribution as required
- Manage the Site Safety Plan
- Manage operator certifications to ensure compliance
- Manage the documentation of safety efforts
- Perform other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Additional
- Train and mentor a team of Site EHS Specialists and Craft Supervisors
- Provide significant, influential contributions to the development of an effective Accident Prevention Program in support of Engineering Service’s Zero Tolerance Safety goals
- Develop and communicate weekly updates regarding injury and illness awareness and mitigating measures
- Prepare for unannounced audits and inspections by government entities, including but not limited to federal, state, or local municipalities
- Implement, manage, and contribute significantly to the development of Safety Task Assignments and SA, JSA, and Risk Assessment training
- Conduct accident investigations and analyze root causes to determine and implement safety measures which prevent future incidents
- Manage the Facility EHS Management System (when applicable)
- Manage environmental and health & safety operational permits and ensure baseline compliance across fleet of facilities (when applicable)
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or 4-year degree from an accredited university or college in EHS, Operations, Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent
- 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge in Environment, Health & Safety
- 3+ years managing and developing employees
- OSHA 50 certified knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and Process Safety
- Lead Investigator qualification (TAPROOT, TOPSET etc.)
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 etc.)
- English proficiency required
- Ability and willingness to travel globally with minimal notice required
