Head of Group, Conference and Events Sales is responsible for executing written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events and the successful execution of such events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
- As a Head of Group, Conference and Events Sales, you would be responsible for executing written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events and the successful execution of such events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Execute written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events;
- Negotiate terms and pricing of vendor partner agreements and service agreements with companies and organizations affiliated with group business;
- Ensure the highest standards of Event Management are in place including building relationships with new\existing customers in order to secure rollover business;
- Build strong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively;
- Setting up implementation, adjustment and communication to the GC&E and Sales teams of the groups and events sales strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management and Business Development Manager;
- Manage the department’s day-to-day operations and activities, whereas implementation of the selling strategy yields meetings and events spaces;
- Weekly and monthly groups and events revenue forecasting, annual plan preparation for respective revenue streams;
- Maximise all GC&E revenue opportunities;
- Close collaboration with Business Development Manager, Revenue Management Consolidated Centre, Hotel-based Sales and Shared Segment Sales Office, as well as Hilton Worldwide Sales teams to set up, implement and communicate the commercial strategy for groups & events and maintain high conversion;
- Take active part in the defining of the NEW meeting experience and repositioning the meetings product of the hotel;
- Partner with operations departments;
- Ensure GC&E Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts;
- Manage and develop GC&E Sales Team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within hotel and company;
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly;
- Recruiting, training and developing of GC&E Sales Team..

- Excellent selling capability and ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team;

- Ability to work under pressure;
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
- Knowledge of the hotel property management systems;
- Fluent Russian & English
