The Position
The primary purpose of the role is act as a sound expert in Reward (Compensation and Benefits) and contribute to development, execution, implementation, and administration of a Corporate and Investment Business’s global compensation programs and policies to help effectively attract, retain, and motivate employees. The applicant will be required to work as part of a team as well as independently on a number of different activities simultaneously and take ownership for the processes and projects in the area of responsibility.
Principal Responsibilities
- Makes sound decisions and effectively engages with HR Business Partners and Managers on compensation programs, Reward policies and procedures based upon pertinent facts and good judgment, options regarding trends and makes recommendations as applicable;
- Provides analysis, interpretation, and clear recommendations on compensation (salary/bonus/LTI, etc.);
- Produces ad-hoc reports, and compensation summary information alongside financial performance;
- Manages short-term and annual cash compensation projects and initiatives (e.g., bonus recommendations, salary reviews);
- Provides regular market updates for all locations and ensures the business remains competitive with pay practices and cash compensation allowances against competitors;
- Develops effective working relationship with Finance department to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment of financial forecasts to incentive compensation capacity;
- Plays a key role in the ongoing evaluation of variable compensation and incentive plans structure across Global Business line;
- Suggests methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures, and related enabling technologies;
- Manages and resolves complex issues from employees and managers;
- Works closely with the HRIS and Reporting department to define systems requirements.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
- Education in Economics, Finance, Math, Information Systems, Computer Science is desirable;
- Employee Reward / Compensation background with international firm is a must;
- Experience in stock programs / share plans / LTIs administration is a plus;
- Articulate and confident, able to clearly communicate with internal colleagues and counterparties;
- Discrete when handling confidential data and employee issues;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel functionality and working with big amounts of data;
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, Russian and English.
- Experience in managing compensation budgeting across complex business structure.
