Purpose of the job:
Leading and inspiring the team to optimize sales and profitability in the store using the knowledge of our range, local market, competition consumers and customers. Using the IKEA tools and expertise of the team and colleagues to support our sustainable growth agenda. This enables the IKEA mechanical sales system to work efficiently and ensures the continued success of the IKEA Concept. Actively work towards fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store:
· to act as a highly efficient, and staffed, sales mechanism;
· to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring and relevant home furnishing ideas;
· to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing expert taking into consideration all sales channels;
· to provide a great shopping experience and fun day out for the whole family.
Main assignments:
· Driving complete business by working with the other functions to ensure we are customer focused throughout the store;
· Ensuring that your shopkeepers work with their teams to actively approach and give the professional advice to customers, when they need additional help, in order to sell more;
· Influencing and working with the store commercial team, country sales leader and other support functions to ensure that we support the same priorities;
· Knowing local market potential and working with team to plan and implement commercial activities, which will convert more visitors to customers, strengthening Bedroom complete Home furnishing offer;
· Knowing the Core area range, which enables to lead and manage your team to sales steer towards commercial priorities and volume commitments;
· Educating commercial team in the IKEA way of selling, and ensuring that they know and use the appropriate manuals from Inter IKEA Systems B.V. and other global solutions to help maximize the sales potential of their areas;
· Ensuring that shopkeepers agree on clear expectations and standards within their teams regarding shop-keeping routines and regularly follow up on these;
· Working with the commercial team on the commercial calendar to ensure that the range changes within each shop are planned and managed in a simple and commercial way and reflect local market needs;
· Using matrix to develop yourself and team’s competence in order to capitalize on sales and profit within my store;
· Delivering a commercial action plan for the store together with store team and in line with county objectives (growth, positioning, profitability);
· Following up on these plans and communicating progress to your team, as the based on the store business plan, agreed goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
· Providing an inspiring and motivating direction for your co-workers and engage them fully in the IKEA objectives;
· Recruiting the team through IKEA values by identifying what skills needed to get the job done as well as what motivations and capabilities will complement of the existing team;
· Working with Staff Planning in accordance to business needs;
· Developing the team and supporting people in achieving development plans;
· Creating an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with my team and other colleagues.
Requirements:
· You have proven sales experience, leading and management of a team;
· You are able to be ambassador of the Comfort Sleeping and Smart Storage solution on your market with high demand of customer satisfaction within all sales channels;
· Create togetherness, Inspire and clarify, Lead and Develop people, Find the better way – your strongest and proven leadership capabilities;
· Ability to prioritize and organize own work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available;
· You are able to set expectation, provide clear direction and follow up the effective new way of working and solutions and have experience of adapting to different styles of working to get the best out of all the team (situational leadership);
· Good analytical and numerical skills, understand profit and loss and how to affect its total store result through department actions
· Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to influence in a larger team.
