Senior professional in consumer and business strategy. Experience and successful record of consumer, competitor, brand, communication and strategy development. Proven record of building and developing a market-leading Market Intelligence practice in-house and outsourced, delivering and effectively communicating actionable insights that influence all levels of the organization.
5+ years in Consumer research, Business Insights, Market Intelligence, Market Research, Business Intelligence, Competitive Research.
Skills and Competences :
- Expert in quantitative and qualitative research methods of all kinds
- Able to work with colleagues across multiple functions and time zones to develop a strong understanding of business, customer, competitor and market trends
- Great at making the complex simple and creating visualizations that convey key messages.
- Detail oriented while also being able to tell a story with, and extract insights from, the analysis – not a data dumper!
- Strong business acumen with strategic and critical thinking, and a natural curiosity to dig deeper.
- Strong business and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative) to enable solid business judgement
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with Operations team, product management, finance, investor relations and sales leaders
- Self-sufficient, self starter and DO’er – identify solutions and strategic direction amid ambiguity and uncertainty

Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Head of Market Research and Competitive Intelligence, the successful candidate, will assume full responsibility for driving the Marketing Intelligence function for all markets of business presence of the Cashwagon Brand (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore). Will be responsible for aligning the market research and competitive study plan with the brand strategic imperatives by identifying critical business questions; defining the information gaps; identifying and implementing the appropriate methodology to address those gaps; and integrate findings into the business.
- Develop the definitive corporate point of view on market sizing, addressable market, market share, growth trends and drivers, market constraints, competitive disrupters and pricing forecasts that underpins the strategic plan
- Lead and further advance the Market Intelligence function and team to produce proprietary insights that inform decisions on various business and functional areas
- Develop a strategy and framework for how to monitor market trends, competitors, channel partners and customer needs
- Own insight generation and key market/competitive intelligence and market sizing deliverables that will be leveraged by marketing, sales, product management, finance and other corporate functions
- Identify, recommend and lead appropriate market research studies and analyses to support internal stakeholders
- Analyze primary and secondary data, providing regular updates on KPIs, competitive advertising, initiatives, etc.
- Analyze product usability procedures with the objective of driving simplicity and effectiveness.
- Prepare executive-level recommendations and reports including PowerPoint presentations.
- Cultivate relationships across all regions and channels gaining an intimate understanding of local market dynamics, consumers and realities
- Counsel at executive leadership level on industry strategies, trends and directions; must be willing to take a stand and factually support unpopular findings
- Provide constant Competitive Intelligence reporting and alerts to maintain competitive awareness and readiness
