Job description:
Working within NCR’s Banking line of business, the incumbent will develop knowledge of sales principles, theories and concepts, and will work directly with the Account Director(s) and customers. This position requires the development of basic knowledge of business unit sales processes, administrative tools and assigned products, services and software. This position will enable the incumbent to develop and progress into an independent selling role.
The employee will participate in regular on-the-job training activities. Use of tools and systems such as salesforce will be required to develop account plans, enter orders and complete sales administration activities. This position will share a sales quota with another more experienced Account Director for the first year, helping to drive orders and revenue against set OTE measures.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Training in NCR’s sales methodology, sales skills, products, tools and automated systems, will be provided. You will have various duties assigned to you which could include:
• Day-to-day proactive and reactive prospecting, both on the phone, in writing, and on customer site
• Maintaining a client database
• You will be part of the bid team as required, as well as providing general sales support to more senior sales team members
• You will be involved in liaising with the client in their offices alongside the Account Director(s), whilst driving orders and revenue to meet agreed sales targets
• Meeting preparation for client meetings
• You will be required to research markets, attend trade events, and monitor publications for relevant leads
Required profile:
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Economics or Business related field
• 0-2 years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in sales and/or marketing is preferred
• Knowledge/experience of IT solution selling is beneficial
• Experience within the Financial Services industry would be an advantage
