PURPOSE:
Be a strong contributor to the country marketing team. Lead the process of managing (planning, buying, integrating) and optimising all paid media in IKEA media mix (both off- and online) and ensure conditions of performance readiness (tool, methods, capabilities) to fulfil the purpose of the function. This role contributes to create desire for the IKEA brand and demand for the IKEA offer and leverage multichannel customer experience and customer lifetime value through establishing a strategic overview of media purchase to maximise return of investment and enabling high brand awareness and effective and efficient reach and engagement of target audiences in a multichannel environment.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Involved in marketing and communication strategic planning and leads it implementation in terms of media planning-, buying, usage, measurement, optimisation and maximised return of media investments and development of media competence and capabilities within marketing team and among key stakeholders
- Perform in depth analyses for each medium within the media mix and work towards a comprehensive paid framework to maximise the impact of the communication
- Ensure a media-research approach is applied that helps to simulate and measure media performance as well as take fact-based media decisions, e.g. dashboards, web analytics, media modelling, tracking tool
- Identify new trends in media usage/consumption and innovation in collaboration with Market/Consumer Intelligence role and leverage innovative and evolving media selection (online and offline) through the media briefing process
- Lead the development of targeted and re-targeted media use and identify relevant distribution platforms for mass and segmented communications
- Responsible for professional media buying and budget management (including media auditing, cost-efficiency analyses, monitoring and reporting on cost-benefit ratio and budget compliance) and cost transparency by ensuring a comprehensive contracting and invoicing process
- Support media (role/context) oriented content and format briefing and the production and dissemination of digital content related to key stakeholders (HR, IKEA FOOD, Sustainability, Corporate PR, Customer Experience) by defining a set of applied media channels for communication
- Select and manage media agencies, particularly concerning contract, scope of work, fee and objective setting, and perform agency reviews
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Marketing and branding knowledge.
- Project and process management.
- Broad knowledge of communication and creative concept evaluation/judgment.
- Budget management (forecasting, goal setting, return on investment, profit and loss).
- Qualitative and quantitative research, market/consumer data and trends, relevant KPIs.
- Out of the box thinking and ability to generate disruptive M&C engagement strategies which are meaningful for people, result-oriented and durably improve the business performance
- Thriving for solving complex business challenges and leading transformational changes
- Passionate about understanding consumer behaviour, people’s life at home, the future and continuously build own knowledge base
- Ability to personalize the customer experience based on segments, behaviour patterns and localization consistently across channels and media
- Experience in planning and executing paid media plans for moving customers through the marketing lifecycle from acquisition to first purchase, to repeat purchase, and to loyalty that drives business performance, min 5 years both in off-and online channels
- Media strategy and planning as well as buying experience (all channels, on and off-line) targeting current and new customers through various channels in mass or targeted communication
- Extensive understanding of consumer & customer experience journey and potential interaction opportunities
- Fluent English
