What is the opportunity?
Citibank's Data & Analytics team is a centre of expertise in customer analytics. The results of our work have direct impact on the business performance and our customers’ satisfaction. You will solve real business problems using your data analytics skills to grow our business. Responsibilities:
- Be a part of a dynamic, collaborative, progressive and high-performing team.
- Be a Data Champion, mentor and technology leader within the team and beyond.
- Engage with the team to support its development through cross coaching and various learning opportunities.
- Analyze and seek for insights regarding the performance of customer communications, campaigns and other business activities.
- Design, create and deliver a fully functional product in production that solves a real business need.
- Come up with hypotheses to identify causal relationships in customer behavior on key indicators of the company’s business, bottlenecks and development zones. Conduct analysis based on detailed transaction data about customers.
- Analyze and profile client audiences for the formation of product offers in targeted campaigns.
- Analyze the effectiveness of targeted promo / x-sell campaigns using the A / B testing methodology, the formation of recommendations for their improvement. Analyze the impact of marketing initiatives on customer profitability.
- Refine requirements to optimize the process of campaign development and launch.
- Come up with hypotheses to identify customer behavior patterns and how they affect bank performance indicators.
- Participate in bank strategy analysis based on the results of analysis.
- Create presentations and dashboards based on the results of the analysis with subsequent reporting to top management.
- Identify opportunities for automation and increase in effectiveness of CRM campaigns.
- Participate in other analytical and infrastructure projects (including international ones).
Skills:
- Advanced analytics, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing beyond simple A/B tests.
- Knowledge of promo / x-sell campaigns launch, methods for evaluating effectiveness.
- Customer’s segmentation, search for patterns and deviations.
- Sound knowledge of SQL.
- General programming skills, base data structures and algorithms.
Experience:
- High degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related fields.
- 2 years of experience in data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis (regression models, clustering, decision trees, mathematical models).
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful projects in automation and effectiveness increase of CRM campaigns.
- Participation in the full cycle of promo / x-sell campaigns launch and pre / post campaigns effectiveness analysis:
- Definition of the campaign performance assessment methodologies, key performance metrics.
- Customers targeting, campaign mechanics settings.
- Control of the correct campaign work.
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of the campaign.
- Preparation and presentation of results, identification of key growth points.
- A self-starter and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive innovation in business problem solving.
Will be a plus:
- Knowledge of R.
- Machine Learning techniques (including linear models, time series forecasting, and ensemble models).
- Scientific Python: Anaconda, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, Jupyter.
- Experience of public presentation, tuition or active coaching.
- Experience with distributed, scalable computing (Hadoop).
