BURO GLOBAL is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Product Manager to join our Digital & Product team. BURO GLOBAL – ABOUT US
Buro Global is the UK Company’s House registered headquarters for the Buro 24/7 brand. Buro Global is the centralized function for driving overall strategy for the development and evolution of the Buro 24/7 brand– publishing platform, global partnerships, global advertising sales and international markets and expansion – which operates in 9 countries and 4 continents. We operate three company structures across the network – wholly owned, joint venture and licensee partnership.
The business model for this publishing platform is to offer a centralized platform/CMS that licensees and joint venture partners can access and Buro 24/7 receives revenues based on a management fee for access to the brand and platform. We also receive a % of brand revenues from each market. Therefore, delivering continual innovation and value in the platform, allows us to retain or increase revenues from management fees. It is also an attractive proposition to new markets and publishing partners, giving them speed to market, and avoidance of expensive development costs.
BURO 24/7 THE BRAND
A luxury digital destination for the affluent millennial launched in 2011 and now present in 9 countries and 4 continents around the world. Its forged growth through establishing a leadership position in emerging luxury markets and is now going through a new phase of investment and growth. Current countries include Singapore Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico, Middle East, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Croatia, Russia.
The brand has stagnated in the last few years, and so with the launch of Buro Global in London in September 2019 and the delivery of the new platform, the objective is to return the brand to a position of digital innovation and leadership on which it was founded. We have a proprietary CMS product that will be used for the new platform and a team of developers based in Moscow. This product is well received around the world and our editing toll has been picked up as a plug-in to WordPress VIP. The strategy is that the launch of the UK flagship Buro247.com, a high-quality English-speaking site, will be the basis for the launch of the new platform. The aim is to have one centralized site to which individual markets will be migrated to, with consistency across markets, and the added benefit of rolling-out innovation more simply and on a consistent basis.
Buro has undergone a rebrand in October 2018 to which was extremely well received by our international markets, advertisers and agencies. YOUR MISSION
- You will form part of the Global Digital Product team, which is focusing on the editorial and commercial part of buro247.com and our licensee network, from user experience and site performance to continuous development of our proprietary content management system.
- You will be an ambassador for introducing new innovation to the business and focus on creating a USP in market with our proprietary CMS. You will have an understanding of other market needs to enable a global scale product function.
- You will be comfortable taking a digital & tech strategy from executives to create an award-winning product roadmap.
- You are ambitious and driven and eager to break the mould of old fashion digital publishing. You are technology savvy and constantly looking to innovate with new ideas, you are driven by the fact Buro is about to shake up the market in creating a digital first tech-lux media platform
- You conform to using agile processes from ideation, grooming the product backlog, writing user stories, organising planning and reviewing the sprints, to monitoring, optimising processes and on-going user testing and performance improvements. You will run daily operations for the agile team, work closely together with developers and designers, from senior to junior.
- You can work at all levels within the business, from leading workshops with the wider business to extract requirements and better understand business opportunity to hosting sessions (sprint reviews) with the Leadership Team.
- You are data literate and you are an advocate for building data orientated solutions. You are averse to building performance dashboards and reports to make sure our website is running smooth.
- As a Product Owner, you will work with the Senior Product Manager in ensuring your processes and product management disciplines are aligned and uniform, using them as your mentor. You will be proficient in translating strategical goals provided by Senior Executives into actual tasks. You will turn requirements from your colleagues in the editorial, audience and ad-operations teams into new product features and will help validate a business case/ROI before presenting this back to the Leadership Team.
- You will be used to monitoring the performance of all new product launches in live and when required A/B split testing. You will be responsible in producing and circulating statistical reporting relating to your feature drops.
- You identify new opportunities that support our company goals while keeping our products user-centric
YOUR PROFILE:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within the Tech or Media industry using Scrum, Lean or other agile methodologies
- You have proven experience in introducing product into a business and setting out new processes and methodologies to enable to business to move faster (delivery more products to market), in a robust and transparent manner.
- You have experience in customer centric testing and gaining inside into consumer trends.
- You have proven experience in managing a small product team and leading decision making. You are technically minded and internet savvy, new product releases to market excite you and you are eager to take on new challenges.
- You are hands-on with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or similar tools to track performance
- You are passionate about product development and familiar with A/B testing and UX prototyping
- You are self-organized and willing to take ownership when needed
- You are able to connect people and manage business relationship through stakeholder management
- You have a solid understanding of technical concepts and vocabulary and a thorough understanding of upcoming technology trends
- You understand our brand, our users, and trends in media and technology
- Fluency in English and if you speak Russian that is advantageous
- You are disciplined when deadlines are set and understand the importance of deliverables and milestones, you are happy to work hard and go the extra mile to hit dates set
- Strong organisational skills, detail-oriented, organised, and efficient with an ability to simplify the complex into clear plans.
- Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian products, including JIRA and products such as slack.
