The McKinsey Moscow Office is a fast growing office with almost 500 client related colleagues.
We are seeking a Staffing/Professional Development coordinator to coordinate the staffing and key people processes for interns and part time interns (approximately 90 people).
This is a unique opportunity for somebody passionate about staffing and people development, to gain full exposure to the breadth of people-related topics in McKinsey as well as a chance to grow and evolve along with the Moscow office.
The individual with work closely with the Moscow Office Leadership Group, consultants, and the PD team.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of staffing and people development processes and tools.
He/she should be hands-on, pragmatic and self-motivated, as well as a great team player who is excited by challenges and willing to go the extra mile. Good excel knowledge is a huge benefit
Responsibilities:
- Support of full-cycle consultants’ professional development processes for interns and part time interns cohorts: onboarding, staffing, evaluation, learning
- Executing the staffing process for interns and part time interns: to do this effectively, the person must develop a professional relationship with consultants to understand their aspirations, experiences, strengths, development areas, and personal preferences
- Evaluations: support local review committee (annual, semi-annual reviews, etc.)
- Enhance cohort development: by leading learning and participating in office initiatives
- Managing the information flow in the required systems: maintain accurate entry of staffing-related information in relevant systems (i.e., iStaffing), maintain and share up-to-date consultants’ profiles
- Interacting with finance department: liaise with the Finance department on vacation assignments and staffing-related billing arrangements (e.g., per diem changes)
- Interacting with global staffing community: to explore suitable international study opportunities for our consultants in other offices, and to facilitate inbound/outbound staffing assignments
- Helping create supply and demand forecasts and reports for local leadership
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in staffing.
- Familiarity with global staffing systems
- Superb process management skills, including the ability to manage multiple simultaneous processes
- Tolerance for ambiguity
- High energy, positive attitude, and a bias for action; sense for entrepreneurship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Skills to ensure well-organized and effective delivery
- Ability to interact with seniors as a thought partner
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Fluent English
