Moscow Research Center of Huawei is looking for talents experienced in LiDAR technologies to join their Wireless Intermediate Radio Frequency (WIRF) laboratory. The team focuses on algorithm design to provide the best system solution.
Main Responsibilities
- Exploration of LiDAR key technologies, development of innovative LiDAR system solutions and improvement of future competitiveness of LiDAR products.
- Development and evolution of LiDAR algorithms. Focus on development trends for LiDAR technology, lead algorithm technological innovation, and develop competitive LiDAR algorithm architecture and solutions.
- Build LiDAR algorithm models to complete the system simulation, analyze the theoretical performance, and propose hardware specifications.
- Work with internal and external teams, design and optimize algorithm solutions.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Study and optimize TOF-LiDAR signal processing algorithm performance, such as echo detection, echo pattern recognition, SNR improvement, range calculation and compensation, passive and active image acquisition.
- Laser coding research for interference rejection from other LiDAR systems.
- Performance improvement in bad weather conditions, such as denoise the point cloud polluted by the fog, rain, dirt, etc.
- Study and optimize FMCW-LiDAR signal processing algorithms, such as laser modulation linearity compensation, range detection and other solutions.
- Responsible for system calibration, such as point cloud distortion calibration, offline and online auto calibration (internal & external parameters).
- Responsible for scanning control and motion perception, such as the rotator and MEMS mirror scanning stability control.
Key Qualifications
- MS or PHD in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control engineering, Physics, or a 3+ years of experience in related field.
- Strong knowledge of electro-optical detection systems, experiences in LiDAR signal processing. Familiarity with TOF and FMCW LiDAR systems is preferred.
- Excellent skills in building, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of optical, electrical, or mechanical control systems. Familiarity with LiDAR scanning control is preferred.
- Excellent skills in simulation using Python and/or MATLAB.
- Excellent skills in statistical signal analysis and model building.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
