Territory Planner
A critical role in the territory Sales Planning team developing business tools to plan and track company sales. This role, reporting into the Sales Planning Manager, coordinates & consolidates the reporting and forecasting process for the sales function. As well as Territory Planner drives Trade Terms, Distribution Policy and all related processes to provide to customers and Sales team smooth and transparent vision of commercial terms (incl. discounts).
The successful candidate in this role should have the ability to connect the Business and Consumer environment in which Nike trades with the role of Sales Planning within the organization, focusing on how we improve our ability to Serve the Consumer and how we Deliver Results. This person should be able to identify gaps in analysis and develop sales/financial tools to drive sound decision making to maximize revenues and sales opportunities.
Description
- Together with the Sales Planning team provide business intelligence solutions to manage, track, plan and manage the annual forecasts;
- Developing business intelligence to support the Nike Russia Sales organization;
- /!\ Support Sales Planning Manager in their role coordinating critical business planning deliverables pre-season, in-season and post-season including seasonal plans, monthly LRSF submissions, seasonal targeting, and driver-based plans;
- Summarization and ownership of Gross to Net (G2N) reporting, supporting Sales Planning Manager in communication of G2N reports and tracking of G2N for key account throughout the fiscal year
- Consolidate Futures, Shipping and Account information for monthly tracking, target setting and forecast;
- /!\ Drive Trade Terms model with Sales Planning Manager to manage discounts within territory budget through a solid process and through the lens of our Category vision, Strategy, and Focus Account clustering. Act as the TT excellence point of contact for territory account teams for all TT related questions and requests. Invest in and contribute to the education of the Sales Force on TT strategy by developing a roll out plan;
- Drive and Support Account Collaboration Plans for all our Key Strategic Partners and drive Marketplace Management activities according Strategy.
- /!\ Initiate discount process and include it in the system to make sure it is given on invoice where possible, submit in the dedicated tool discounts validated under TT;
- Collaborate with other members of the Sales Planning team and broader sales force where required to deliver key projects related to the role of Territory Planner;
- Actively support any contribution to product seasonal meetings (KAPM, STIM, SIM) through preparation, discussion, debating when reques

Skills and Experience:
- Technical knowledge is critical, especially Advanced Excel skills: creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc. Ability to work with large complex data sets and data base building is a must;
- University degree in Business, Economics, Sales, Marketing or a related field;
- 2+ years’ experience in Buying, Planning, Sales Support and/or Assortment Planning for a multi-store retailer;
- /!\ Comprehensive understanding of retail math / business planning including G2N and profitability;
- Ability to create monthly reports and tracking vs budget and Forecast;
- /!\ Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others;
- Experience in developing and understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred;
- Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business;
- Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred;
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions;
- /!\ Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business;
- Strong written & verbal communication skills;
