Big plans: Profitability was reached after just over 1 year using a very limited marketing budget in the industry in which marketing makes up 90% of success. We are now ready to scale the business by introducing new products and conquering new marketsby establishing and executing a marketing strategy.
The Finance Manager will be based in Estonia reporting into the Interim CEO and locally the COO. They will be required to drive Finance related strategy for the Betmaster Group of companies and oversee day to day management of the finance function. You will apply insight and understanding to the financial performance of Betmaster and contribute to the strategic and day to day decision making process.
You will be required to:
- Contribute to the management of the business as a member of the top management team.
- Initiate and co-ordinate the formulation of the annual operating plans and budgets and monitor progress towards their achievement, drawing attention to important trends, and to opportunities to maximize income, reduce cost and minimize risk.
- Ensure that the financial statements and returns are in accordance with statutory, regulatory and other requirements, and in accordance with local regulatory standards, procedures and timetables.
- Provide support to the Business in the formulation of marketing plans, budgets, business development, product development and the analysis of the operational business trends for the achievement of overall plans and objectives.
- Ensure that the taxation affairs are planned and managed so as to optimize the group’s position.
- Monitor the operational and capital expenditure programs to ensure adherence to budgeted limits. Analysis and sign-off any project approval requests.
- Develop and execute policy development in the area of financial controlling, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results.
- Provides financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets and standards, and advice to management.
- Oversees the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensures maintenance of general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, payables, and receivables.
- Controls supplier payments and ensures that the payments are made in time and proper administration of the Administration System.
- Ensures accurate reconciliation of accounts to give operational support to all areas and minimizes the costs of maintaining the accounts.
- Ensures monthly/quarterly/half yearly returns submitted to the board and all areas are received in time and action taken when required.
Overview of the Mandate - Requirements
Language, Education, and Qualifications
- Spoken and Written English, Russian not essential but an advantage.
- Finance related degree and a formal accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA, CA, ACCA with at least 1-3 years PQE.
Sector, technical Skills and Experience
- Experience of either gaming/ gambling/ payment or FX sectors this can be gained in an accounting firm.
- Corporate restructuring, international payments and banking.
- Financial regulator reporting and related requirements.
- International accounting and reporting standards.
- Taxation & VAT/ GST.
- Management Reporting and Financial Accounting.
- Strong IT skills and experience of manipulating, analysing and presenting complicated data into a commercial environment.
Soft Skills
- A trusted partner to the board with the ability to advise on sensitive matters.
- Commercial with the ability to devise innovative solutions, take the initiative, lead from the front and deliver.
- Ability to keep the management team focussed on the strategic end state vision and build strong relationships internally and externally at senior level.
