The LD Manager will need to thoroughly understand the strategy of the firm in order to create innovative, practical and cost-efficient ways to develop employees. The LD Manager will work closely with Talent team and key business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic leadership for learning
- Provide strategic leadership for learning, including developing learning strategy in close cooperation with Talent Leader and the business
- Translates learning strategy into operational management, ensuring business learning needs are fulfilled and learning products and services are aligned and delivered according to quality standards
- Implement and monitor the L&D team, ensuring business benefits are delivered to cost and quality standards
- Act as a champion of the learning organisation to the MF, DU EMEA and the outside world
- Maintain awareness of external developments in the learning area and the MF’s business environment to ensure continuous improvement
- Interface with peer learning experts; attend conferences and meetings to share thoughts and gather the latest insights
- Establish relevant and impactful learning experiences through blended solutions, that lead to employees’ retention and development of critical capabilities
- Ensure sophisticated, advanced learning systems and enabling technologies are in place
- Ensure coordinated and consistent delivery of L&D’s products and services to meet users’ expectations and create measurable value
- Establish capabilities to create and share knowledge throughout the whole organisation; global as well as local, functional as well as end to end
- Manage the “learning business”: balance out outsourcing of low-value learning functions and focus on high-value initiatives
L&D Management
- Oversees day-to-day management responsibilities and provide leadership and direction for the L&D team;
- Manages interdependencies with relevant teams and leads the MF Learning Council
- Ensures governance, processes and policies are in place
- Ensures that learning performance measurement and financial transparency is in place with corresponding reporting and analytics
- Creates a proactive, flexible organisation responsive to the MF’s needs
- Oversees the L&D budget
- Approves demand planning

- Advanced English skills
Work experience: at least 5 years of working in Learning and Development & 2 years in managing the team, work experience in multinational companies is a plus.
